CARING FOR YOUR PRODUCTS

We are dedicated to sourcing and using the best quality materials and employing expert craftsmanship to make our products.

A little bit of wear and tear is, in our opinion, a sign that a product is both loved and enjoyed. However, we appreciate that you will want to protect your items and keep them looking as good as possible so they will endure in your wardrobe. Please find our recommendations below.

LEATHER

Our leather skins have been tanned specifically for each product and all have different characteristics and slight colour variations. Over time you may see creasing or colour changes, all of which are natural features of leather.  Leather is a natural product and will therefore exhibit unique markings and imperfections.

Please keep all leather items out of the heat and away from water (including heavy rain), harsh chemicals (including perfume and alcohol) and dark materials (including denim jeans) as this may cause the leather to stain or to transfer over clothes/materials.

Leather can be susceptible to scratching and marking and extra care should be taken near any abrasive surfaces. Light coloured leathers are more susceptible to marks in general. Extra care should be taken with them.

If leather is consistently exposed to harsh light, the product may experience fading, so we recommend that you store your product in its dust bag. Should your leather product require cleaning, we would recommend cleaning the leather exterior with a soft cloth and warm, mild soapy water. Ensure that the cloth is thoroughly wrung out so it feels very slightly damp, and gently wipe the surface of the leather. Repeat using clean water. Always do a patch test first.

COW HAIR

Cow hair is delicate and not suitable for heavy wear. Please note that some shedding is unavoidable with wear and is a natural characteristic of this material. Please handle with care - if frequently rubbed, the material will lose hair resulting in worn patches. Therefore avoid excessive friction. Should your product get wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature. If calf hair is consistently exposed to harsh light, the product may experience some fading, so we recommend that you store your product in its protective dust bag.

MONOGRAMMING

Please note that due to the textured surface of our grained leathers, small breaks and bleeds can appear in the foil stamping. Gold foil stamping will fade with age and use or if rubbed against other surfaces, scratched or if it comes into contact with heat or chemicals including perfume and alcohol. As leather is a natural product and can vary from piece to piece, the gold foil takes differently to each leather and this can also affect its longevity. Please visit our Personalisation page here for more information.

METALLIC FINISHES

Metallic finishes are delicate and may wear. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals (including perfume and alcohol) or abrasive materials.
